Activist Handbook Wiki
At the Palestine Freedom Project, we believe that the people best qualified to document effective tools and techniques for Palestine solidarity activism are the individual activists who utilize them every day. As we continue to improve and expand what is intended to be a comprehensive activist handbook series, it becomes increasingly essential that these documents be developed collaboratively by a broad range of contributors. By leveraging the same type of technology used on popular websites like Wikipedia, we're putting the future of our "best practices" documentation right where it belongs: in the hands of grassroots Palestine solidarity activists.
Unlike Wikipedia, our wiki content is divided into distinct modules with a hierarchically organized structure. This is to allow for easy conversion to print. Once a module has reached the point at which it can be considered "complete", its content will be compiled and made available to activists in print and PDF form. The module will continue to be developed via the wiki, with further changes eventually incorporated into a second print and PDF edition.
Users may directly edit all handbook content except for structure and article titles. Images may be uploaded to the wiki, but linking to external images is not permitted. Suggested changes to the structure may be posted as comments to the main page of the module, and suggested changes to article titles posted on the individual article pages. As with Wikipedia, all comments on wiki content are located in a separate "Talk" tab on each page. To prevent vandalism, all changes to handbook content are held in a moderation queue until approved by the editors.
Please note: In the editing window, the area above the "" tag, if one appears, is used for the content displayed in a "teaser" view of the page, and may appear to duplicate the first few lines of the content below it in the editing window. Please make all your changes below the "" tag (if one is present), or they will not appear on the normal view of the page. Improvements to the interface will soon eliminate the need to be concerned with this, but we ask for your patience as our developers address the issue.
Any questions related to the wiki may be sent to us via our website's main contact form by selecting "Handbook Inquiry".
